Between 11th and 19th July 2009, five bikers will ride between John o’Groats and Land’s End as both a personal challenge and to raise money for charity.
The ride won’t take the whole time – because we live in Lincs we have to give ourselves time to get to the north of Scotland before we can start and then need to get home from Cornwall. The actual Top Down journey will be about five days – Monday to Friday.
We are raising money for two worthwhile causes in our local area:
- Macmillan Cancer Support in Lincolnshire: Macmillan improves the lives of people affected by cancer locally. They provide practical, medical, emotional and financial support and push for better cancer care.
-
The Salvation Army in Boston: The centre in Boston is the base for a lot of work in the community and is a Christian church. Funds are always needed, especially so in Boston at the moment because the existing building is being rebuilt into a new centre.
Each organisation will benefit from 50% of the total amount raised from our trip.
For media/other enquiries about the trip or to sponsor us in a different way to the Just Giving site, please email.
